Moody Cotton Harvest Festival Committee (CHFC) was organized in
early 1999 by a small group of volunteers, who wanted to work for the
betterment of Moody. The organization was led by Kenneth Bullington.
Several founders of the committee continue to take part today with
an ultimate goal to build a Community Center for Moody. The first
successful festival was held September 25, 1999. The family of Mary
Coulter Hatter donated five acres of land to build the Center in
2004. CHFC is a non profit organization.
Moody is an incorporated community at the
Intersection of State Highway 317 and Farm Road 107. Moody is
located 6.8 miles west of exit 315 IH-35.
